Old Master

Bordeaux

Named in tribute to the Renaissance Old Masters—painters, sculptors, architects, and artisans revered for their mastery of craft—this wine reflects Hudson’s own commitment to decades of applied craftsmanship in winegrowing. When Hudson began more than forty years ago, the southern reaches of Napa Valley were considered too cool for Bordeaux varieties. Undeterred, Lee Hudson pioneered the planting of Cabernet Franc, a decision that proved prescient. Plush and densely textured, this Cabernet Franc–driven wine is complemented by a small percentage of Merlot, adding depth and completeness to its expression.
