Ladybug

Named in honor of Cristina Hudson, affectionately known as “Ladybug,” this vineyard sits in the northeastern corner of the ranch, sheltered by Milliken Peak from westerly winds. Home to the oldest Chardonnay vines on the estate, an Old Wente selection, Ladybug is considered our grandest expression of Hudson Chardonnay. Cuttings from this vineyard were used to establish both the Little Bit and Seashell vineyards, underscoring its foundational role on the ranch. Warm days and cool nights yield a wine of depth and opulence, balanced by the vibrant energy that defines Hudson Chardonnay.
